A Listening Life

Threshold listening offers a variety experiences of prayer and reflection to help you slow down, create spaces in your life, pauses in your day, moments of stopping to make you more aware of life, more sensitive to the movements of your days, your feelings, your friends and family. Drawing on Ignatian spirituality, you are encouraged to use what you notice to help you realise how much and how often you encounter God in the ordinariness of your daily life. We help you make changes to your life and listening, enabling you to offer more space to others to speak. You and they experience the wide and open space of God and begin to realise the healing that comes from simply being heard.

Covid has affected our offering of quiet days and short retreats.
We hope to offer those spaces as soon as it becomes safe to do so.

The group experience we call "Paying Attention to God" began again in September 2021, attentive to good practice in the care of people during Covid. We're taking it one month at a time - seeing how we get on. It helps people pause and notice life, savour it, learn to recognise God with them, relate to God and others in a freer way.

More information about advanced listening experiences, building on PATG, will be available in the coming months.
